Does anyone know where I could find the capital copperplate alphabet that is broken down in to stokes.
I'm still in the process of learning the stokes of lowercase, and I am following Salmans tutorial. I would like to start learning capitals too, but I don't seem to be able to find any exemplars that have all the different stokes for the capitals,just the letters themselves.
Would appreciate if anyone has or knows where I could find something like this.
Thanks
Diane

Hi Diane! Check out Dr. Vitolo's Copperplate handout. There are youtube videos to go along as well!

Hi Diane,
My tutorials do break down the Majuscule letters, although the form is more casual than a formal copperplate. You can still get the gist of the strokes, though. However, I would use a different exemplar for good letterforms. Capital Letters first lesson (http://theflourishforum.com/forum/index.php?topic=383.0)
Also, Dr. Joe Vitolo's free tutorial does an excellent job teaching majuscules as well and are outstanding exemplars. He does break down *some* of the capitals. Zanerian.com (http://zanerian.com/).
Last, but not least, if you follow @anintran on Instagram, and scroll all the way toward the bottom, she demonstrates with video most, if not all, of the capital letters. I think she is hands down the best Engrosser's Script calligrapher of today. Her exemplars are stellar. She teaches at Ink Academy in California. I am hoping her classes will one day be online.

@Erica McPhee I can't wait to take a look at your capital letters lesson!
Nina Tran is amazing I use her instagram for reference a lot! she's coming to NY in June and I can't wait for her to open registration to her workshop. And she is so sweet always responding to questions and posting live tutorials on instagram.

@Jenafer
Thanks Jenafer I have been watching these videos and have downloaded his book which is great for reference.
@Erica McPhee
Thank you for the information on your tutorial, I had searched the site but didn't find this and it is just what I am looking for.
I also looked at anintran's instagram account, her work is amazing and the videos will be very useful.

Diane

I have been told by Ink Academy (and am signed up for) that Anita Tran is working on an online Copperplate class that hopefully will be ready sometime this summer. I’m so excited! She is so amazing. I am just finishing a free 7day copperplate boot camp on her Instagram account.

Paul Antonio - Copperplate Script Manual published by Speedball. Hands down my favorite!

I like the classical explanations by Jenkins in »The Art of Writing«! You should find it in the Rare Books section on the IAMPETH website.
