Very nicely done Mike! Your W is nicely balanced and your first stroke has that nice curve at the end. Great consistency.  ;D

I gave it a try. My first one I like but the W is unbalanced between strokes. The second one I like better but the top of the h just grazes the W which is unpleasing to me.

Fun challenge! I'm really enjoying John's class. The capitals are very challenging!

Erica

Lovely work, Erica.
Whole arm is new to me. It will take a while.
J's class is fun, isn't it?

Yes definitely. And I find there is a lull where it gets OK, then it is horrible again, then it gets better. I have used whole arm for flourishing for many years but this past year I have been working on whole arm and muscle movement for Copperplate.

It is said Madarasz used muscle movement for his capitals but observers reported he used more whole arm.

John makes me laugh. He is so sweet and so earnest.  ;D
