Its good to see some interest in Devanagari script. In India its widely used. Here's a link of a famous calligrapher from India who have done some amazing work with this.

Many years ago, I started to learn Hindi, something I still would like to do. I made flash cards of the letters and bought (and still have, I think somewhere) a beginning Hindi book, but never got very far with it. Shortly thereafter, I moved far away from my teacher, thus having no one with whom to practise.  This was before the internet and its many teaching resources.
I have some hymns and prayers and other texts written in Devanagari script (with English translations) which I may yet write in my own hand. Is this not beautiful?

Absolutely beautiful. I had half expected you would have done some study/practise with Devnagiri, given your India connection :)
