Saving drafts of posts

Is there dome way of saving the drafts of posts as we write them?  I am constnyly losing them as I try to all the info and links correct.

When I write really long or complicated posts, I often write them in a text editor before I post it :).

Also, copying often (like select all – copy all) while you type helps you keeping your latest version.

What Stefanie says.  Another benefit with a text editor is that you can use a type size and display which suits you: in my case a bit bigger and light grey on dark grey.
