Trading post
« on: June 17, 2014, 12:14:21 AM »
Hi everyone! Here are a list of things I am willing to trade. I am located in Las Vegas, NV. Please add your post too if you have something to trade!
Also listed is the retail price, but take it as a grain of salt because some may be used and not worth as much.
Please PM if you're interested!

TO TRADE
Higgins Pen Cleaner 2.5oz $5-ish
notes: almost new, only used once

White Rapidograph Ink $5
notes: almost new, only used once!

Dr. PH Martin's Iridescent White $6.60
notes: again, almost new, only used once

J Tresser Terracotta Sepia Ink $8
notes: very new, only used once!

Deleter Manga white ink $7
notes: very new, used only once

Higgins Eternal Ink $4
notes: practically new, used once. Side of bottle stained but the actual ink inside is fine.

Winsor & Newton Silver Ink $8
notes: completely full, used only once

Zanerian Style Rosewood oblique holder $35
notes: gently used, a little stained but still looks good. The flange is still very firm but the end has been crimped a little clumsily to fit a small nib. Still a perfectly good holder though.

Small Phantom liner $24
notes: assembled and used only once. Comes with all parts but not the guidelines.. you can use your own though.

Vintage Esterbrook oval point 788 nibs $??
notes: I have two boxes full of these, but I want to trade these with other nibs only

PS: Yes.. many items are really only just used once.. the moment I dislike an item when I first try it, I never give it a second chance LOL

I WANT

-modern and vintage nibs of all kinds: Musselman, 604ef, leonard principal, nikko G etc. I'm also willing to trade vintage nibs for other vintage nibs. I will part with a Principality for several good ones, or an equivalent!
-unlined Rhodia/clairefontaine paper
-NEW iron gall or walnut ink
-books about penmanship/calligraphy
-Michael Sull oblique holders
-glass inkwells
-etc.

I'd like to trade nibs for nibs, just because I like to try new stuff. Anything else would be ridiculous from Austria because of the shipping costs.

I offer:
- A bunch of Gillott 404 (they're too stiff for me)
- Some Brause 361 (I love them)

I'll take anything I don't have :)

I am still trying to figure out what I have to trade but these are some of the ones off the top of my head.

TO TRADE

Hand-Made sketch books/journals
I have some small ones already made (many of them can be seen here) but I can custom make them (with rhodia/black/most commercial papers) and in most sizes up to A4/Letter for the right trade.

Vintage Automatic Pens
I have many sizes and from different makers, both from the USA and England, all have wooden handles (I'll post pictures later).

Books
I have many books design in general but about half of my collection is on typography and calligraphy. Including Calligraphic Flourishing by Bill Hildebrandt

Ergonomic Oblique Holders
Customized to your grip.

Vintage Nibs
Esterbrook (354-358), Spencerian 1, Gillott (290, 291, 303, 404)

WANTED

Nibs
Vintage (604EF, Musselman, Tamblyn, etc)

Oblique Holders
Wooden holders in particular.

Any interesting calligraphy related items really...

I can trade:

Daler Rowney's Calli Inks (Green and India Black. 1 each). $4.50 on PIA

Calligraphy ink. Green is very pretty, dark teal, black is very black, water proof inks, consistency of ink, but I don't have the appropriate paper to use it with, so they are new, dipped in a few times to test if my papers will accept them. I don't use Rhodia or Clairefontaine though. I think they will serve really well with broad edge nibs.

It's probably not going to be worth it to send ink bottles over internationally because it may be more expensive than the cost of ink itself, but maybe someone here won't mind the cost. :)

Wish list:

Nibs for testing! Doesn't have to be new, as long as it's not ruined :) (Except Nikko/Zebra G - I have enough of G nibs)
Oblique holder
Gum sandarac/pounce
walnut crystals

TO TRADE
vintage esterbrook nibs
354
355
356
357
358

I also have:
tachikawa g nibs
Some foreign nibs that are a hiro 41 copy. (Not quite as smooth but still never catches for me)

I'd be interested in trading for other nibs. Anything I don't already have. I am particularly interested in vintage hunt 56 and esterbrook falcons to try out, but again, anything I don't have.

I have 7 Nikko Zebra nibs that I'd like to trade for 7 Nikko Gs instead.

I also have a 15oz bottle of Moon Palace Sumi (still in shrink wrap!) that I'd like to trade for.. anything else really.. maybe for another bottle of ink?

Schin, I could trade 3 Nikko Gs for 3 Zebras, not all 7 though.
