Just wondering if mmany of us enjoy this art form

Erica McPhee:
Hi Silvereye,
I love it. I'm not very good at the design piece of it yet but I have done a few chalk designs for my family for holidays, etc. I like it because it requires lettering and drawing. I hope to do more of it in the future.  ;D

Bianca M:
Same here- I also love to combine different types of lettering with illustrations.  I'm better with a chalk marker, though :D

Im not sure if chalk markers are capable of producing the shading of regular chalk but it's definitely a cleaner option.

Bianca M:
No, that's very true, you lack the shading (but you can do cross-hatching! ;) ) - so that's a nice benefit of chalk.  I think I just need to find a better chalk option, because I have trouble with precision when using basic chalk.  I bought some chalk pencils for a project, but they worked on some surfaces and not others; I'm guessing because some of the surfaces weren't true chalk-board style.  Any recommendations?
