New Master Penman/Penwoman program!

I was thrilled to read Ink.Academy ( @suzietwig ) is working with Michael Sull, Barbara Calzolari, Pat Blair, and Giovanni de Faccio to debut a new international Master Penman/Penwoman program.

They will be emailing full details and registration information regarding their international MASTER CALLIGRAPHER and MASTER PENMAN / PENWOMAN programs soon. Along with these two opportunities will be a CERTIFICATION PROGRAM in an individual HAND. Each individual registering (and qualifying for) these programs will be guided by a recognized MASTER PENMAN / PENWOMAN.

As noted on their instagram, "By the end of the year we will send another email with a link to the 2017 REGISTRATION for 2017 MASTER PROGRAMS for both INTERNATIONAL and US STUDENTS. At this time, there will be ONLY ONE class of 2017. For those that qualify, you will be guided via correspondence (email, mail) on-site classes (if you are able). For beginners and advanced alike, at the end of 2017 we will launch online classes presenting a complete series in INDIVIDUAL HANDS -- both POINTED PEN & BROAD EDGE."

This is an international program. I believe they expect to expand with an online program after this year.

I read that. Will wait eagerly for that to start. Still, getting to meet masters in person is something totally different. Perhaps an IAMETH  trip is in the offing.

This has nothing whatsoever to do with IAMPETH, if my sources are reliable (and they generally are).

Probably worth pointing that out, I think - people can read between the lines and draw their own conclusions.

Yes Andy - Good point. This is a completely separate endeavor than the IAMPETH program. This is a brand new program via Ink.Academy.

Yes Andy, I know It's nothing at all to do with IAMPETH.
But as of now, this is the only place, I think, that I would be able to meet all the wonderful FF people and some masters too.  😊

Either way, I am NOT a a Master Penman/Penwoman!!!  BUt, after attending IAMPETH this summer, I realized that I have a LONG way to go!!  I was thrilled to learn that I am more "advanced" than a newbie, although not as advanced as an "expert"!!  Calligraphy 2017, here I come!!

If this is the case, where are the Masters coming from, if not from IAMPETH?

Well, I don't feel comfortable with discussing what's been said in private conversations, but you're quite right, @Empty_of_Clouds : things are not very clear at the moment.  The "contact" button on the Ink Academy website doesn't appear to be working as yet, but the "click here to join the list" button is a mailto link - so maybe drop them a line?

This venture isn't one that I'm in any position to take advantage of, but I really dislike all this secret squirrel stuff.
