Hi there Erica! I seriously don't know how I found you, but I'm grateful that I did. Thank you for sharing your experience & amazing talents. I'm new to your Forum & am very excited to be participate in your wonderful calligraphy share-fest.
I live & work in Libertyville, IL, north of Chicago, & have been a calligrapher for 25 years. When my kids were very young I took an adult evening calligraphy class at the local high school, immersed myself & found love. ♥ We probably all initially studied Italic, but it took me a LOT of years to realize that there's so much more to learn. A couple of years ago I took a Copperplate class with Mike Kecseg (he's amazingly patient with those just learning) & never looked back. Traditional styles will always stay classic, but modern calligraphy styles are so fresh. I love calligraphy & love having my own business.
Thanks Erica, for your tutorials!! I'm excited to continue learning & sharing with all of you.
