Love it @prasad I don't see any reason why you can't do it in cursive if that's what your'e working on?

Been working on my daily handwriting and not done much of pointed pen.

Love the way you mixed engrossers and spens. Looks very cool. Would love to see one in your daily handwriting :D

That is a little terrible ;D  I didn't get it because kept missing the "a" in the last line and then it hit me.

Writing it in my daily writing style,  trying to get speed for this style so wrote it as fast as I could.  Ground a normal Indian Fountain pen to a fine architect grind.  This gives thin verticals and wide horizontals.

This is wonderful broad pen @KrzysiekS. Whats the 'x' height and pen width you had taken.

@ash0kgiri : 4 nib widths x-height, 6 nib widths capitals and 3 nib widths ascenders/descenders. The pen is green 3.8 mm Parallel Pen. I'm practicing Foundational Hand according to Sheila Waters' “Foundations of Calligraphy”

It's been a while since I put pen to paper. Once again I am trying to set aside some practice time. Between this fun endeavour, along with the "Quote of the Week" over on FPN, I hope to get at least some practice.

Hopefully I'm attaching these right.

@darrin1200
They're attached fine. Just side ways lol
Were you looking for critique on your work or just to post your progress? A good start to say the least.

@ash0kgiri
Amazing, I love the ink splatter at the end, I'm thinking it looks so good it would have to be intentional. Am I right? ;)

@prasad
Wonderful, the only thing I can pick up on is the spacing on 'a' in 'walking'. Very impressive if you did that quickly and with an architect grind

@KrzysiekS
I always struggle with the tops of the acsenders. It looks like you have them down pat though. TBH I struggle with anything broad pen haha good work mate.

Alex thanks for the kind words. But I have to admit the ink splatter is not intentional. It just happened at the right place. :D

Thanks Alex

I'm using these fun threads as an excuss to practice. However, I will always accept critiques.

My ink bled out due to the quality of my practise paper. But I thought I'd like to post it anyways, so you all can see another attempt of an broad edge pen amateur. Seriously started blackletter scripts somewhat one or two months ago.

Edit1: don't know, why my post got turned 90 degrees. The original version is perfectly horizontal :-D
Any help for future postings?

Looks great, broad edge still mystifies me. If this is amateur then I'm just a scrub :D haha
