Gothic Nametag for friend.
« on: December 09, 2016, 12:40:31 AM »
My friend asked me to design a nametag for him.
His last name is Johnson.  It is the most typical English name of all time; however,
it was fun to try and make it interesting despite it's commonality.
Originally the blue was red.  My lady made the comment that it looked rather Nazi-like
which made me switch it up to blue.  She said there was no way a hippy type of guy was
going to pick gothic lettering over uncial.  We made a bet and I made an uncial version with
a lombardic captial J with magenta background.   I sent both rough sketches to Mr. Johnson
and he resoundingly picked the gothic.  A small yet satisfying victory in my domestic life has occurred.

Bravo @Daniel Mastrofski :D. That was indeed a much deserved victory. Gothic is looking amazing. Actually don't mind seeing your (unical) version too.
