Can't share photos

Greetings!

I have been trying to share a post with a photo for a day now.   I keep getting a message saying that "theflourishforum can't handle this request."  Yesterday I was told that I could not post because I had already posted the exact same post.  I went back to the forum to look to see if this was true, but there were no posts from me.

Is there a problem with the forum or is there something I am doing wrong?  The file size is 815kb.

I took a screen shot of the error message that keeps appearing and I am going to try to attach it.  If this works then I have no idea why my photos won't load, because they are well under the size limit.

Meghan- have you tried clearing your browser's cache and trying again?

@MeghanZ I've had that problem from time-to-time, too!  You can only post small photographs.  When sending from my phone, I get several options, like, "Send actual size," "Send small size."  I can only post if I pick the very smallest size.  A couple of months ago, someone posted that they were using an app to decrease the size of photos, so that they could post here.  I'll look for that thread & will tag you if I can find it!

Thanks for your reply!   I did try to shrink the size of my files via a website that does this for me.  The file sizes are much smaller than the maximum size allowed.  That is why I am confused.

Greetings!  I still am not able to share jpeg photos.  I tried saving them as Png files though and these were accepted!  Not sure why the site didn't like the jpeg files, but at least I figured out a work around and can now share pictures.

Were they actually jpeg, with an "e"? Or jpg without an "e"?  I think it actually does matter here, from what I recall.

Hey Bianca!  Thanks for your help.  I did try clearing my browser cache - no difference.  My files are Jpeg, not jpg.  Do they need to be jpg to share?

They have to be a .jpg, not a .jpeg. Are you able to save them as a .jpg?

There we go!!!  Just ditch that e! I always take pictures via iPhone, which saves as jpeg, and I'm good to go once I remove the "e."  Hopefully that resolves it for you!
