our 6 year wedding anniversary is tomorrow.  i love being able to hand letter a card.  so personal and from the heart.  it's been a busy 6 years...hubs became an entrepreneur, and the roller coaster that is, moving homes twice and a few months away from a third, a dog, and 2 children later...and we still make each other laugh every day!
there is a lovely quote on the back side, which i will save for him.

my D is too fat, ink blob on the "a", and wish i could flourish my "y"s more...not bad for the 4th card i've done, like, EVER! lol!

Oh, this is so lovely!  I feel like calligraphy can be so romantic!  Did you pencil in guidelines, or did you just achieve that slant freehanded?  Because, for your fourth card ever, I feel like your slant is awesome.  This is coming from a newbie calligrapher who can only get some sort of slant AT ALL with a guideline.  Ha!

i used a guide sheet underneath on a light pad for sure!  without guidelines it would be a total mess. modern free hand calligraphy without guidelines is a mystery to me.
