I am taking an online Trajan class thru Acorn Arts.  It started as drawn Trajans, then nib, and now brush.  Boy am I way, way, way out of my league!  I mostly have only done pointed pen… and a little foundational so everything is new for me.  I really didn’t know what I was getting into!  Thankfully I believe I have access to the videos thru the summer… I’ll need it!  It is fun and a definite challenge!!!

I was one of the lucky ones to receive a letter locking exchange envelope.  I absolutely loved it!  All of the envelopes from everyone were wonderful…. And I actually received three of them on Valentines Day!!!  Thank you to all.

Thank you for posting these. I  look forward to them everyday!  You are incredibly talented!  I am always in awe of people who can do both art and calligraphy so very well.

I have a feeling if I ever get to IAMPETH I will feel the same way.  I am also from a rural area and am in the same boat.  I have taken a few classes online, but am sure it can’t compare to in-person learning.  I am just a hobbyist, but I don’t even know anybody else that enjoys calligraphy.  Hopefully one of these years I will get make it to the conference!

I did see one size of the Parallel Pens at our Meijer store earlier this summer.  They only had 2 or 3 of them hanging on a hook.  The other week I looked again for them, but they weren’t there.  Not sure if they moved them, or are no longer selling them.

I have received 3 of the 5 from my list.  Shirley, Nicole, and Robert.  All very creative, unique, and well done!  Our mail doesn’t even come at the same time of the day anymore, so maybe the post office is still overwhelmed.
