Did some practice with the words.  I used gold ink because I was tired of the black and because...why not??

Thanks for all the great tutorials, Erica!

Wow - you're doing great! Nice consistent slant and excellent spacing! Well done!

Doesn't gold ink just make everything feel better?!  :D
Warm Regards,

Wow, that looks amazing, is it only a few weeks since you first started? And did you have any other experience beforehand?

pom pom great work!! I also love gold ink...I also find it more "forgiving" than black ink, it kinda disguises mistakes very well...all that glitter <3

Thanks for your kind words, ladies!  They totally are inspiring me to pick up my oblique pen again.  I haven't touched it in about a month and totally miss it, yikes!  I guess the holiday craziness will do that :)

NikkiB - I have taken a few courses (both online and in person).  I did Melissa Esplin's online course in June of 2012, but then life happened and I didn't practice again until mid-2013.  That's more of what I consider my "start date" with calligraphy.

Still need to go back and do the lessons here, as I only got through lesson 1 before the holiday craze began.  Soon, I hope!!
