Sorry Erica =) I gave Joy some book's names for technical words in english (ascender, apex, descender etc...) but I did not understood her problem (I was off topic). She looks for the reverse (french definitions of those terms), and it's in the book I posted above.

That's really cool to let your children study our language at a young age, they learn so easily! Maybe it's time for you to to practice again too

Thanks Vince! I was actually surprised I could pick up the general gist of the conversation. Yes, I love that she has shown an interest and I was very surprised at how much she remembered from just a couple lessons!
