Introductions / Hello!

Hi Erica and all my friends who are calligraphers and lovers of letters!
I apologize for being a bit of a lurker and not posting sooner to introduce myself. I met Erica at IAMPETH 2014, late in the evening one night towards the end of the week, when it was quiet outside of the large lecture hall. Erica was sitting by herself at the conference table with some of her beautiful Dasherie magazines on the table, beautifully packaged, waiting to be purchased. I couldn't help but notice the beautiful magazines, and then Erica talked to me for about two minutes and I felt like we'd been friends forever! WHAT a nice lady!!! And she looked like she was about 25 years old! I kept thinking, "Well doesn't that just beat all, she's pretty, REALLY sweet, obviously talented and driven, AND she's about half my age! Where'd I go wrong in life, could you please explain that to me, God?!?"
No matter, I'm thrilled to have met Erica, thrilled at her success, and thrilled to be a tiny part of this terrific group of talented folks who are so generous with their knowledge and are so willing to share whatever they can to help each other grow.
I hope this year at IAMPETH I can meet and make a lot more friends, and grow even more as a calligrapher and artist.
BTW, I work full time as a nurse, specifically as a department director, and love to work in collage.
Thank you Erica for everything you do, have done, and continue to do going forward to grow this community!
