Hi everyone,

I'm visiting Melbourne, Australia next month, and wondering if anyone has recommendations on where to get tools and supplies?
I'm pretty familiar with the area since I lived there for a few years, but it was before I'm into calligraphy.

Introductions / Hi from Indonesia

Hi, I'm Maria from Jakarta, Indonesia

I'm a graphic designer and in the past year I've been looking for something apart from constantly working with the computer.. so I revisited hand-lettering few months back. I found Calligraphy along the way, and luckily a workshop to start learning it in town two weeks ago. Currently have a holder with a Nikko G nib. So yes, I'm still a baby in calligraphy

Getting supplies is quite a challenge as mentioned by one of the few calligraphers in Jakarta - ernie_tan Instagram has been a huge help so far, and it's great to find this forum. I used to have pen pals during my school years so I'm also looking forward to exchange letters with fellow calligraphers!

Looking forward to learn more from the forum and also connecting with calligraphers around the world!
