We had some great exchanges last year and some drop outs. I tried a new approach with the forum shares but had no participation so won't be doing that again. ;D
This year's list has some really fun ideas so I hope we will have a good number of participants and 100% follow through! ;) The schedule can be downloaded as a PDF linked below.
1. Holi Heart – Holi is an ancient Hindu spring festival also known as the Festival of Colours or the Festival of Love. It is a day where people laugh, play, celebrate forgiveness and love, and cover each other with colors! Let's share the colors and love.
2. Zizzer Zazzer Zuzz – Share your favorite Dr. Seuss ABC words or write your own.
3. April Showers Bring May Flowers – Rain showers or lovely flowers, take your pick.
4. Lane Courtesy – June is Lane Courtesy Month when drivers are supposed to show extra kindness to their road sharing friends. So let's share our love of cars, driving, and the open road.
5. Wine & Spirits – Every year in Moldova, they celebrate the arrival of fall and the goodness of wine on National Wine Day. In honor of calligraphy, good design, and wine, create your own wine label to share with friends.
6. Holiday | New Year – The ever-popular end of the year exchange in honor of all things holiday and happy.
The only requirements are:
1. Although the exchanges do not have to be handmade, some kind of calligraphy should be used on the inside and envelope.
2. You will send an exchange to every member on your list (typically 7-9 members).
3. Must be related to the theme.
4. All skill levels welcome!
5. If you end up not being able to participate, please contact me ASAP. If you don't send your exchange after the list has gone out, you will not be able to participate in the next exchange.
6. You must sign up before the deadline via the form. No late sign ups.

I know... I debated for a long time because it is a favorite for many but thought we would change it up for a bit. ;)

@Inked botanicals, we can send each other spooky mail (and anyone else who wants to join in an unofficial capacity). ;) I am a total Halloween junkie!!

Yes! And I actually meant to say I kept the list small this year because it leaves more room for impromptu exchanges if anyone wants to organize one. ;)

Looking forward to this year's exchanges! They're such a good opportunity to expand skills and push ourselves with no fear of criticism. It is unfortunate your sharing threads didn't take off. I do wish we would share our exchanges more, they're always so much fun to see!
And count me in on the Halloween one too! It's one of my favs as well :)

Yay! @Inked botanicals and @Starlee I've set myself a reminder for later this year to create a Halloween exchange.

A thoughtful member pointed out to me that the date positions are reversed in other countries and the schedule could cause some confusion. So I have redone the Schedule PDF to include the day of the week and the month abbreviated so it is more clear. All dates are for 2018. I hope this is helpful!
I will definitely be more mindful of this in the future. :-*

I am so excited! I am a newbie/beginner but have always loved studying calligraphy styles and lettering. I registered on this site a couple of years ago, but have been more dedicated than ever to my practice lately so I think this will help me keep up my momentum. I think this will help me come out of my shell a bit more too : ) Thanks Erica!
