And the other one is more personal and calligraphy/art related...but at the end of this year it will transform into the instagram connected to my design side of the business (currently working on splitting wedding planning & design business) : @sarah.a.a

Oh gosh I was SO spoiled this year.

My husband has 2 brothers and a sister which makes exchanging gifts SUCH a time consuming affair (about 2 hours). So this year we decided to do it a bit different. A secret santa page was created and we bought gifts for just one person.
My husbands little brother ended up drawing me and he bought my ENTIRE wish list. I almost fell off the chair after I opened the package! I thought I might get a little thing off it, but not all?!

So I ended up with the gold FineTec palette, walnut ink, Dr Martins Bleedproof White, a Speed Stir, a new dinky dip, and a range of nibs that I can't wait to experiment with!

Clearly he is the favourite brother now

I don't think I have but I will double check to make sure. I have only received 3 of the 7, all of which came from within the US.

Oh good! So there's still hope it arrives.
I received three as well, one of which was your work of art! I was so impressed!!! Everyone put so much effort in it, it's such a joy to receive a Flourish Forum exchange in the mail. Brightens any day

Did anyone receive my cards yet? I'm so nervous as my for my last exchange NO card arrived at its destination (granted, I sent maple flavoured tea bags in them which may or may not have set off some customs agents lol).

I am so sorry, I am a bit late with the cards. We got some unhappy immigration news last week that needed immediate attention. So I completely forgot about the cards.
I am writing them RIGHT now and will post them asap.

Ugh... When I was 12 my dad took me to the bank to open an account. I was never told I had to put my signature on papers, so I hadn't practised. So now, after ALL these years I still have this horrible child's signature on all my documents kind of unable to change them.
I blame my mom&dad for not preparing me properly for something that lasting

It was my first ever calligraphied envelope that I sent out (and made for anyone thats not me).
Did you understand the quote? First I wanted to translate it as well but figured it might be more fun to just leave it like that.

A bit late to the cuteness party.

But I think it's only fitting to include my two furries on this board.
Our little Figaro joined us 2 years ago (his birthday was actually yesterday) and I just love this kitten picture of him.
He's the best, he talks back when you call his name and is the best cuddle ever.

I might be biased, but Balou is the best dog ever. He's a rescue, when we got him he was fluffy like a little cub, hence the name. He's a chocolate lab-border collie cross... He's a bit of a giant and doesn't know he's actually 80 pounds. He too, loves to cuddle. They keep me company while planning weddings and practising my calligraphy/lettering/designing.
Love them!

ps. they were present when Charles proposed to me! Needless to say, best proposal ever

I would be so excited to get a pretty card for my own birthday (april 24th so maybe a bit too soon but ok)
But mostly excited to practise calligraphy while making others happy with the results, instead of having everything just in a silly notebook.
