time

Does anyone else lose track of time when they are practicing? I got up early today. No idea why. Started practicing at 9am then looked at the clock, it was 10.45! I must be pretty slow because I only wrote about 3 pages in that time haha.

Yes! If I want time to pass quickly, I will work on calligraphy because then time flies!  ;D I wish it were the other way around. Slow and steady wins the race.

Oh, I fall victim to the calligraphy vortex all the time. Once I told myself at 10pm that I would practice and write for only an hour. The next time I looked at my phone it was 2am. I don't even think I did that much writing that night...maybe like 5 or 6 pages.

I'm so guilty of this. I'm naturally inclined to be a night owl, so when I fall into a calligravortex it can easily turn into 5am without my seeing a single thing. Not so great when you've got work at 8.30am ...

... but worth it, every single time.

So IT IS a common syndrome that affects calligraphers everywhere!  :D Once i start i cant stop and neither does the clock.

I only have "time" during Saturdays especially that I'm pretty much hectic with house chores, taking care of my daughter and my husband, and having a full-time job. And this "time" that I have runs so quickly that I just want to make each second last a minute and each minute, last an hour. Haha!

Yeah, I can easily spend a whole day working on a project and listening to podcasts. It's so meditative.

It's a beautiful syndrome, lol.
I easily lose track of time when writing.
My husband converted the home office into my "studio" recently and I'll tell my husband "I'm going to the studio for a bit" and for some reason he always responds with "what are you going to do?" Like he doesn't already know! Makes me laugh, every time! And he just smiles. :)
Next thing you know, I go into our bedroom and he's already sleeping, snoring... oops! It's 1:00am!!!  ::) ;)

Well it is good to see other people experience this as well. I find as I progress I am getting faster and I get more pages out but the time sink still stays the same haha
