It sets Spencerian apart
« on: May 23, 2014, 09:53:40 AM »
One aspect of Spencerian handwriting which sets it apart from others, is the flexibility in acceptable inter-letter spacing.
Provided the spacing remains consistent throughout a piece of writing, almost anything goes, from fairly tight Italic-like spacing to something like this. There's a lot of freedom in spacing letters as wide apart as this, and it's good fun!

The quotation is from F.W.Tamblyn but the writing style isn't.
