Ken Brown Calligrapher
« on: June 25, 2019, 03:00:45 PM »
I have a friend who went to a class taught by Ken Brown.  He teaches students how to calligraph on glass, using a dental drill.  His website is www.kenbrown.com.  The tools are expensive. - His website says a complete setup is $2,000.  He has pictures of his work on his website and he is a very good calligrapher.  So, now, I want to buy a dental drill.  Like I NEED one more hobby! :-)

The scenario in which this is justified cost does not exist. But that doesn’t stop me from wanting to buy the set 🙈

Janis, there are a few other calligraphers who do glass engraving. I believe @carlahagan  (@carlahagan_designs on Insta) just announced her nationwide engraving workshop and teaching schedule. May be worth checking out.

Also, not professional by any means but I used a plain ol' engraving tool my mom bought at a yard sale to engrave some bottles for my daughter's 21st. It was really fun and not that hard to do.

Engraving post on Insta  ;D
