Special projects
« on: October 28, 2019, 10:39:27 AM »
The first of my four daughters got married this past weekend.  For a gift for her I purchased a journaling bible and made a quilted cover for it.  I then took appliqus from my wedding dress and attached them to the front.  In the front of the inside I added a page of craft vellum on which I had calligraphed their names
And that they were joyfully joined in the Holy Sacrament of Marriage, followed by the date, church and location.  Sprinkled throughout the rest of the Bible I added pages of calligraphed lines from verses, including the ones they had chosen for their ceremony.

I was wondering what kind of extra special projects or gifts people on the forum have done.  Hoping some of you could share...

I have a private lesson scheduled for this Sunday for 4 people.
The hostess of the class, who took one of my classes a couple weeks ago, hired me to come teach her mom, sister, and cousin.
The hostess just emailed - asking me to do a fun announcement - to be unveiled at the end of the class -
telling her relatives that she is pregnant.
I'm not sure what we are going to do -- but it sounds like a very fun idea - for a very special announcement.
