Tools & Supplies / Nicker brand paint, gouache from Japan

John Stevens came to our office on Friday with a load of different paints from a brand in Japan called "Nicker".  He likes their products and we are thinking of importing them.  My question: has anyone tried them?  If so, did you like them?

We will be bringing the sample paints to both A Show of Hands and IAMPETH, so if you are attending, please come by the store to try them and let us know what you think.

Tools & Supplies / Gillott 303 news!

I received confirmation this morning the Gillott is indeed retooling the 303 nib.  They are sending a few samples to me.  I will report back when I receive the nibs.  This could be a really great thing, if the nib's quality is better!

Tools & Supplies / Ink Samplers - is there demand??

hi everyone, 
At JNB we currently offer a few ink samplers (http://www.johnnealbooks.com/prod_detail_list/s?keyword=Sa-).  Is there demand for other samplers?

Samplers that I have thought of:
Sumi Sampler
White sampler
Sepia/walnut sampler

Please let me know your thoughts.  The idea is that you get a small (1/2 ounce) jar of each ink.  Then you can test and find the right ink for you.
