Open Flourish | General Discussion / Nibs and pen in airtravel
« on: December 02, 2016, 08:47:34 AM »
Hello all.. I am travelling feom the US to India next week and would like to know if it is okay to carry the nibs and holders with me instead of the check in luggage. I am just a bit paranoid in leaving it in the check in especially because I have got a new PIA hourglass holder(yayy ;D).. i did see a post before which doscussed almost the same topic but just wanted to confirm in case of international flights.

Thank you

Parvathy

@AndyT @melanie jane  One last question please:
Which one would you go for: a PIA straight adjustable oblique holder or a carrot holder and turned wood together??

@Brad franklin  thank you so much... you cleared all my doubts regarding that holder..

@AndyT thank you so much for giving me a super suggestion.. i have been using the turned wood holder with pointed end...but te issue i have is that the flange is not fixed and keeps on coming out when i pull the nib out.. I fixed it using a toothpick but then i am experiencing a lot of paper catch

;D ;D ;D ;D I am totally confused now... so should i go ahead with buying a round pilers and an oblique holder adjusted to fit brausse 66?? because that is the nib i ,ostly use along with the nikkog and hunt.. (i may get other nibs in future)

Also one another thing is due to the initial excitement i stacked on a lot of brush pens and holders that i feel overwhelmed and dont find my work space appealing. I really dont know how to control that clutter. so I think this is also one that is stopping me
