Erica, I did plant a climbing hydrangea in the fall - we’ll see how it goes! I’m so thrilled for you that you have all those blooms - what a joy to go outside and see all that life.

Gorgeous, Erica!! Wow. I am envious of all of you who have such beautiful blooms in your yards. My yard is shaded by redwood trees and a huge messy magnolia so I’m still trying to find shade friendly bloomers. I do have a cymbidium orchid in full bloom at least, otherwise it’s all just… green! I’ll have a small amount of anemones later in the year.

Welcome Aries! I am a huge Harry Potter fan myself. In fact, I have a wizard wand pen holder - I just couldn't help myself.

It's not very often I hear someone say they enjoy the smell of sumi ink; usually it's quite the opposite, so that made me chuckle. I personally don't mind it, but I also barely notice the smell anymore.

Anyhow, it sounds like you're loving every bit of calligraphy, and that's wonderful! We're glad to have you here.
