Hooray! So glad you found it! I once misplaced an oblique pen in the bottom cupboard next to where the pots and pans are... that sucker was lost for quite a while! Seems I was busy working on something and the nerve of my children wanting to have dinner again I brought my pen with me to grab the pot to boil spaghetti. Seems I couldn't hold the pot with one hand so put the pen down on the shelf.  ;D

I wish! Won't be able to afford another holder for quite some time. I love Chris's work and will definitely be asking him to make me another at some point.  He is just about the most easily accessible maker I've come across.

What not try and make one @Empty_of_Clouds. Chris have posted so many videos on YouTube. And many others here to guide you. :D

Actually I've got no confidence in making anything that complicated (well, it is to someone like me).

Having said that I have decided to request a second holder but I haven't heard anything back from Chris yet.  I expect he is pretty busy though.

haha.. do you have cats or children? My one cat is a bit of a hoarder.
If not, maybe check the refrigerator - I once misplaced my cell phone in the freezer ;)

Were you making cold calls that day?  ;)

Okay, super excited. Chris has graciously agreed to make me another holder!

Chris is the only maker that I've talked to who has been happy to make a holder for me. I have to assume there are others out there, but they must be hiding or something.

Really? That's awfully kind, but as I have already agreed to a design with Chris I don't think I can afford anything else right now. Perhaps later?

Sure, no problem.

For the record, my pens are very utilitarian, and (or: as) my pen turning skills are very, very limited, as are my pen finishing skills. So I'm 100% convinced Chris is the perfect man to make your new holder.

For what it is worth, here is a video of my most 'advanced' holder.

Form should always follow function.  I like it. Reminds me of the oblique equivalent to the Lamy 2000 fountain pen.  :D

I'm not sure how many penmakers you've spoken to, but it can't be that many!  ;) As far as I know, with the exception of Brian of Unique Obliques, most penmakers will make a custom penholder for you.  You can always ask for recommendations on here, or have a look on Etsy or instagram, which is where most of them are.

Erm... I tend to be a bit shy about talking with people of high skills and education.  And I was also badly put off by one maker, which did not help at all.

Anyway, it was good to find the holder, and today a companion arrived fresh from the talented hand of Chris Yoke - just a really decent guy.

And here they are together...

I'll try and get a daylight shot in the near future - got a big University assignment to bash out this weekend first. Eeek!
