I am still learning...just scratching the surface of Spencerian penmanship.

just scratching the surface of Spencerian penmanship.
Was that Sailor kiwaguro pigment ink you used for that piece? Since you mentioned 'scratching'… the silvery sheen on the minuscule 'n' and 'g' on the last line made me do a double-take, to check whether that was the paper surface being ripped by the nib!

Pen: Speedball 101 Imperial
Ink: Mixture of honey + Pelikan 4001 Blue + Noodler Purple sky? + Parker Quink + Lamy Black +Pelikan Black

It's so fun to see the progression of you beautiful letters. :D

;D Thank you for your kind words of encouragement and yet I feel so lost :-X I really don't know how to improve but go back and refine the basic strokes and use pointed dip pens.
However, I, too, miss my broad pen so much that I might leave the pointed pen practice as is for now.
Thank you Erica

My lettering is so disconnected from multiple lifting...
I really need to bone up this aspect of writing.
