Introductions / Hello from Abingdon, Virginia!

My name is Donna and I'm currently teaching myself Copperplate using Eleanor Winters book "Mastering Copperplate Calligraphy." I had dabbled with Italic Calligraphy using a fountain pen, but I'm brand new to Copperplate. It's been hard figuring out what nibs, holder, inks and paper to use. There are no guilds or groups around here and I don't know anyone else locally who does Copperplate. I was spending hours searching for answers and came across this forum. I wish I had found it earlier! Now I have a place to ask my questions. 
I've been a graphic designer for 18 years. I have a lot of experience with Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign. I have experience converting a scanned piece of art to a vector or raster image, or manipulation in Illustrator, Photoshop and Sketchbook. I can definitely help with questions in those areas.
I'm looking forward to getting to know members of the forum, learning and helping as I can.
