Hi Janis,
The angle takes a lot of work. If you check out the tutorials in the Pointed Pen Nirvana Board, there are easy guidelines which have the angle guides. I always practice with the angle guides. 

But I think your work looks lovely!

I LOVE the tutorials!  I used them all the time when learning Copperplate (along with the videos on IAMPETH and Youtube)!  I learned a form of Spencerian in grade school (Yes, I'm THAT old!) and was taught that the letters had to be at a 90 degree angle to the baseline.  I always won the handwriting award & practiced for years to have very "vertical" letters.   It's been SO hard to unlearn! I'm presently having lots of trouble with a lower case "i", as I love to make it at a 90 degree angle!  I keep working on it, though!
