Hello! I am Angela from Los Angeles, CA. I have been fascinated with lettering and calligraphy for as long as I can remember, but really got into it more when my cousin asked me to letter her envelopes for her wedding last year. To my surprise, her guests loved the personal touch, and there began my journey of learning and dissecting this beautiful lost art. I am currently self taught through books , long hours of practice, and IAMPETH videos. In addition, i have come across many inspiring calligraphers on Instagram who are always willing to share insight or common challenges that most of us encounter. I mainly practice copperplate and some italics. I have worked on several projects and private events.
Besides doing calligraphy, I'm a 5th grade teacher and a mother to my beautiful 12 year old daughter. Thank you, Erica for this great forum to help us connect and share ideas. It is because of dedicated individuals like you that we can all maintain and help grow this wonderful community.
