Hi everyone !
Thank you so much for your interest in Ductus!
First of all, I thank the administrator of this amazing community for accepting me!
I wanted today to annonce an incoming update of the tool in 2 weeks, with some new cool features, after a lot of suggestions and ideas from users. The new features are :
- Slant lines (with adjustable angle from 0 to 55°),
- Paper orientation (portrait and landscape),
- Paper format (a4, a3, letter, legal),
- Black and white mode
- Customizable colors for the main lines, the regular lines and the slant lines.
Again, I thank you a lot for your interest in Ductus. Without calligraphers like you, it would be worthless !
be sure to be notified again when the new version is live.
In the meantime, you can always make new suggestions or ask questions here if you wish !

Oh how fantastic! Thank you for creating it Josselin, and for posting Linda!
-
Thankyou !!! :-* :-*

Hi Josselin--welcome to the Forum. Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful tool with us! I can't wait to give it a try.
-
I can't wait! ;D

Dear fellow calligraphers, it is time for another announcement !
One month ago, I launched Ductus, a tool to help anyone feeling the need to quickly generate guidelines for training purposes. I was actually surprised to see how much people found this useful, and by the huge response Ductus got in the first week (over 7000 users !).
Some of you made some pretty useful suggestions, and today, Ductus is back with some pretty cool features !
I also created a newsletter for anyone willing to keep informed about Ductus, and the next features in the works (because, yes, Ductus is ALWAYS evolving). So don't hesitate to click on the button to subscribe !
To make Ductus useful to the most people possible, make sure you share this around !
As always, Ductus would be worthless without its users.
So thanks to everyone !

Very nice!
It might have been posted here too, here is a link to another such generator (though it is for pointed pen calligraphy) that a fellow member Prasad pointed out earlier- http://shipbrook.net/guidelines/

Thank you!

Awesome! Thank you!
-
Thank you Linda for bringing this brilliant resource to our attention, and thank you Josselin so much for creating it!!
-
What a wonderful resource!
-
I could not get "Ductus" to draw slant guides at 3 degrees, so I've made my own guidelines.

It was tested on Chrome and Firefox.
Feel free to suggest improvements.

Josselin, thank you SO MUCH for Ductus! You freed me from constantly making practice sheets in Illustratior!
-
Great site! These practice sheets that can be set for any sized lettering are perfect for me, especially since I'm a newby.

This guide generator is not working. Once you set the parameter, save it then it gives me this error.
Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /ductus/dompdf/generate.php on this server.
Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Outstanding, thanks Linda. 8)

Hello,
I have checked the website and WOW! its amazing. Thanks a zillion times for sharing this guideline generator link. Helping me a lot to create guidelines for practicing my first practice form that is ITALICS.
I have a small query popping in my mind. Like Ductus is an online guideline generator do we have any offline software that can be installed on pc for generating guidelines or guide workbooks for various calligraphy forms? I'm totally new to calligraphy so just curious if something like that is available.
Please pardon me for my ignorance.
Thanks and Regards
Tushar
