Congrats on graduating college!
I'm also a fan of the Rhodia dot pads, they are such nice pads to work on :)

Why thank you very much :) I do try and spin a good tale so I do ;) I try to release a new one every 6 months, book 4 is due for release in December with book 5 (the last in series 1 - there are at present 4 series) due for release next June, though if anything gets pushed back it will be book 5 as I need to perform this year in my HND as I'm aiming for that top spot again ;) As you do :p

Inkscape is one of the opensource ways of creating a font. There are several programs that are by one company... I forget the name but the programs are Fontographer, Font Forge, Font Studio Pro (That last one may be named slightly differently) and they are all pretty expensive. The cheapest option is InKscape. There is an extension you can buy for illustrator which costs about £30ish and that allows you to create cross platform responsive fonts straight out of illustrator. I have Inkscape though I haven't used it yet. I think I fancy just getting the Illustrator extension to be honest but it's waiting until I have the extra pennies ;)

Hi @AEN82 from another Graphic Design (student) in Scotland! *waves*
I'm hoping to specialise in typography and branding I also love packaging and book design though, but hand lettering and typography pretty much trumps it for me love love love it!!!

Anyways you've come to the right place, it's brilliant here!

Tools & Supplies / Hobbycraft will be discontinuing this ink soon...
« on: July 04, 2016, 08:07:24 AM »
I was in Hobbycraft in Livingston (Scotland) yesterday where I picked up some bargains;
The Daler-Rowney FW 29.5ml Ink Bottle - Pearlescent Effect (Set of 6) - https://www.amazon.co.uk/FW603200006-Artists-Acrylic-6-Color-Effects/dp/B004QXFWRS for only £13 and Hobbycraft's own art ink in rose gold (on a 3 for 2 at £3.50 each) The bottles are 30ml and though it says on the side ideal for pen and ink it also says not for calligraphy or fountain pens but then goes on to say that it is suitable for diluting... which of course is just what I did. So I now have 150ml of this gorgeous colour rather than the 90ml I started with.

My point is that the manager who was marking the items to be moved by his staff at the time told me Hobbycraft are discontinuing the colour. I think if there is any left next week (when I get a few pennies) I will be spending them all to get myself a wee store of this ink because it's beautiful. I also added some of it to some of my walnut ink and it's gorgeous!

Just wanted to let everyone know in case they wanted to order some online or go buy some or whatever. It may be a UK only thing but I don't see why US folks couldn't have some sent in snail mail along with letters ;)

Anyways
Cheerie the noo!

EDIT: Almost forgot. Here's the link to it in the Hobbycraft online store http://www.hobbycraft.co.uk/drawing-ink-rose-gold-30ml/608695-1002?gclid=CjwKEAjwkui7BRCf64DNtfDupgoSJAA_0LOodFZcW86eUYdxtnQUCbihkTnmJjBWS5EeLGE_035K7hoCzJzw_wcB#product_description-tab

Wishing you and your family all the best, Garima. I don't know you well but I do have regular experience with severe illness and Intensive Care hospital stays, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone, so I do know the kind of pressure you're under. Sending all the good vibes and best wishes I can muster.
