Gillot pen company
« on: December 12, 2016, 05:57:52 PM »
Seems like Gillot is going to be my the grinch for me this Christmas! My Mother ordered me some 303's for Christmas. But they have not told the vendor why and when they will get their order so I can get mine. I  figured they would be a better company than this. I hate the words back order!

Again?

So sorry to hear this Bianca. This is very disappointing indeed.

I thought they had sorted out the quality issues and was thinking about ordering a gross.

@SMK I thought so, too, and I had completely fallen in love with them.  The batch I have shows visible defects in nearly every nib.  I'm astonished at how bad they are.

@Bianca M please email us for replacements (when they arrive!).

I hate that there have been issues with the "new improved" version of this nib.

Finally heard from them today and will have new stock after the new year.  We will test the new shipment before we send them out.

@JohnNealBooks I actually have misplaced the batch of 303s that I ordered from you!   :-[  So, I don't know how they perform yet.  I'll give the search another try tomorrow and if I find them, I'll test them out right away and let you know how it goes.  :)  The other batch I have is from PIA.

Thanks so much!  Hoping for good news come January!

i am so glad I ordered mine from John Neal. Because I figured what PIA had were the bad ones. I ask before I ordered if it was the new ones.

I got a dozen from Jon Neal when the new ones became available and they are good. I didn't think anyone would still be selling the old stock.

I have an opinion and I'm not afraid to use it.

Well, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I finally found the dozen I bought from John Neal last month, and they are the same.  I wonder if Gillott still has some bad inventory that they're sending out?  I hope that their retooling efforts haven't gone awry.

Guess I was lucky.  I got a gross of these nibs in September.  They are just perfect.

Yes, we have had some complaints about some of our recent stock.  I have been talking with Gillott and the nib's were not "old stock", rather they were new stock that was rushed through production.  The new batch is currently in production and they are aware of the recent problems, so they will be better, I hope.

If you ever receive defective nibs from JNB, please let us know.  We will replace them at no charge.  Always.
