Sadly what we see now-a-days is lot of Digital progression would put to an end to many things in our basic primary  education. So hand writing is one of the main thing in present education.
But cursive hand writing is back in schools in Canada. This is something interesting and I find this should  be happening all around the world again.

Tools & Supplies / Re: Repairing broad-edge metal nibs
« on: July 11, 2023, 06:49:22 AM »
Broad edge  nibs ARE  cheaper and not worthwhile  taking trouble re-fixing them. Once a nib is missed tined or bent  if you regain  back it to a usable state  it is never the same.
Any vintage DREAM POINTS is worthwhile  to reshape but they will not be the same.
You can't compare Knife sharpening to pen/ nibs reshaping. Nib and a knife plate has two different  functions.  ;D

@neriah

I have bought the same nib from Scribblers once.
Recently I bought another 10 from this Ebay seller but Bought from his Etsy shop.
That price is the cheapest in Uk and you get a small Tin too for that price.
I am very happy.

Tools & Supplies / Re: How do you store and organize your supplies?
« on: June 29, 2023, 06:15:22 AM »
I’ll admit to not having quite the inventory of supplies that many of you do, but I am surprised by the volume of inks, paper, file folders, writing instruments, etc. I’m able to store in this little cabinet with the stacking plastic drawer things inside. I use various plastic trays/drawers organizers in the drawers as needed.

Sharing in case anything here might give some useful ideas.

My wife and I are neat freaks, so it’s nice to be able to easily tuck everything away at the end of the day and have a clean desktop and office.

I like the Easterbrook collection !! amazing !!!

Thank you @Erica McPhee @jordantruster for this share.
I bought a new iPad and a pencil and trying to learn more about ProCreator and how to get into digital calligraphy. I am doing some research and so far I am  at level Zero. I guess I am able to get into what I want to do in calligraphy on iPad.

Hello from London !  ;D I am sharpening my knives too but I am not at all good at getting my knives well sharped and back in right shape.
I guess when you start to use POINTED PENS  some prefer to get their pens very Sharpe..   so that they make their best hair lines very perfect. So you have more chance of mastering that technique  to get the best sharp pens faster than any one else!!!!
Welcome to the Forum !!! ;D

Tools & Supplies / Broken "Chic Oblique E-curve" Holder.
« on: March 12, 2023, 09:49:04 AM »
This is what happened to the holder when I tried to remove a Nib.
This holder has no support  pin with the" stem and the Flang" and even seems to have "Friction fitted' and non glued when assembling.
Came out simply and I  haven't even used this pen regularly .

It is a bit sad what happened to this nice pen and I am thinking a way to get it fixed. Thinking what  glue could do a permanent joint???? Is that Epoxy is best or another non complicated  glue to choose.
Any suggestion ???
Has anyone had the same problem with this Curve -E pen?? I know many of us are using this pen on this forum.
