Live Action! Instagram vs Periscope vs Class

Like many others, we learn by seeing others in action.  YouTube seems to be static and not interactive as one hopes.  YouTube is a great source for learning something quick.

For book worms like myself, I search the archive.org for really good resources.

But nothing beats live action with interactions.  Which do you search for and attend most often?

They all have their strengths, and weaknesses...but I'm going to stay with the positive.

Like @InkyFingers, I am a bookworm. Overall, I like to teach myself. Classes are great because, as we learn tricks from those more experienced than us, they speed up how we teach ourselves...and they give us feedback on our form in real-time. Instagram I like for keeping in touch with people of like mind; and to get a sense of the trends going on that day. YouTube/Periscope etc are great for viewing hand and pen movements. I like them all, but I prefer to read/study most of all.

I found periscope tedious to use and drained my phone almost instantly. I confess I only watch videos on Instagram if the final image is used as the first screen shot. If I have to wait to see what's coming, I often move on. 

I do visit some websites which have tutorial videos or the same which are linked on YouTube. I like those because I can slow down, rewatch, revisit, etc.

The best learning for me has been from watching online video classes. The instructor is explaining and demonstrating at once in detail.
