Thank you!  It's a hideous mess now, only a few weeks after I put it together, but that's not even a little surprising.  Messy desk is the sign of a creative mind, or something!

I'm envious of you guys' workspaces. Make sure you feel very lucky!

I often have to go study in the library or the college because there's just too much distraction/artistic inspiration in my desk area.

I know what you mean Quiche! My workspace is constantly in chaos.  I actually ended up setting up another desk in my apartment for studying at ... that one's constantly in chaos too, but it's a different chaos. 

I like your storage options, though! Those plastic containers - I think I need some ...

I have been lurking around this thread from its beginning . It is so nice to see how all you guys work! So I've meant to upload this for some time – it seems today is Flourishforum day !

So here's my little studio – I use it also for all things non-digital, mainly illustration, or such. My computer is in the office I share with my husband.




I'm writing and drawing on my fathers old drafting board, which makes the whole space very dear to me.

Thank you, Roseann! Yes, the light is really good – that's why I wanted this room for my studio (we just moved there 2 years ago)!

Estefa, I absolutely LOVE the line you have set up on the back wall with things pinned to it--I think I just found inspiration for my office space!

P.S. I also happen to LOVE your calligraphy. Work like yours inspires me to keep trying, despite how unimpressed I am with meager progress, because I want nothing more than to produce beautiful calligraphy (like yours) one day. 

...and now I feel silly because I totally sound like a groupie/fan girl.

Me too me too me too!  I live in an apartment and I can't put much up on the walls ... but I bet nobody could begrudge me a line like that, and a couple of 3M hooks to hold it.

@moya Thank you, Moya! I also live in an apartment, but we have a very nice and tolerant landlord, who also allowed us to paint the walls how we wanted ! That's what I wanted to tell you, Erica ! So thank you also for your kind comment, @Erica McPhee!!

We moved to a new house in December, and there is a tiny bedroom on the top floor that I've taken over as my studio. I am so happy to have a room of my own (as V. Woolf suggested was important!), and I feel that it has really enhanced my burgeoning practice.
