Hello everyone,

I'm Aaron and thank you so much for having me on this forum! As I'm just now picking up calligraphy as a hobby, I'm really excited to have found this forum and I'm hoping to learn as much as I can from everyone. Looking forward to getting to know everyone.  :)

Hi, Aaron!  Welcome to the Forum!  I'm also a Texan, located in the Panhandle.  What type of calligraphy are you starting out learning?  You'll find lots of friendly folks here at the Forum who can guide you along your journey!

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome! Janis, I’m currently residing in Dallas. :)
I want to start with the standard Copperplate as a recommendation from a friend who does wedding invites to build some sort of foundation.

Hi Aaron,

I am fairly new here, too, but as you will find out, Flourish Forum is a great resource.  The thing I like best is being able to initiate a conversation to get feedback on questions I have as I learn calligraphy.  You might want to consider joining a calligraphy guild if there is one in your area.  It helps to be around other calligraphers.

Welcome!  Hope to hear more about your calligraphy journey!
