Ok, Im half blind.... I think... because I can't read my nibs names and numbers. So, what I do is take a white pencil or marker and rub it over the numbers or names.... wipe off the extra and waaaa La! you can see what your using and .... easier to order new ones if you can see it!

That is genius! Thank you! ;D

This is also a good use of those old wax pencils you may have lying about since most of us are stationery geeks. Rub it into the impression and carefully wipe it off leaving the wax in the name.

Thank you...now I can see

Another option is if you don't have white pencils or markers handy. Take a picture with your phone and then blow it out. Two things to have in mind, 1. having the right amount of light falling on the nib, and 2. avoiding closing in as your phone might not have macro capability in which case your picture will turn out blurry.

Thanks @paulette8 - I have started doing this and it works great!

Good ideas and thinking. They are very helpful. What I do is using an Optical Loupe that I was using to check my Photographic Negatives.
It is a great tool too to look at my pens, nibs and Looking into some macro details. Nib tines alignments etc. ;D There are cheaper Loupes in plastic ( made in china ) that is enough quality to serve the purpose of using in small tasks.
