My nib test/comparisons
« on: November 26, 2016, 08:11:13 PM »
Had a great evening listening to violin concertos and doing a fun nib test.
I am so in love with Hunt101 and those fat blobs.
Esterbrook 354 is as hairline as they come but a little catchy.  Move slowly with this one.
Esterbrook 356 is by far my favorite of the brand.  This one feels a lot like 354 but less catching on up strokes.
I may even say I prefer gillott 170 over the 303 now but i just love them both so much when you get a good batch!
Nikko and Zebra are the boring, easy to clean nibs that ear way easy to flourish with but they don't get such a high contrast of line width.
The Blanzy 2552 was recommended to me by @sybillevz.  What a workhorse with longevity of life:)

I still have a lot of other nibs to do testing on but this was a fun start.  Hopefully again soon:)

Great Job,
Saved this picture, not so much for the nib performance, More so for the awesome signatures they have been used to produce. :)

Look forward to the next batch
Just beautiful
