Everyone is ignorant - Copperplate variant
I've been back and forth (mostly back ) about whether to post this. But then not posting it because it isn't perfect defeats the purpose, right?!
I have to admit, the process of working on this today has helped me in so many ways. Rather than write angel in black practice ink, it seemed the perfect time to try to get to grips with Schmincke gold gouache. I confess, I usually prefer a slightly deeper shade of gold (and gouache remains something of a headache, I'm afraid). But I really enjoyed working with it. I also had to write flat, which I don't usually do, and it taught me I definitely need to practise more of that. Anyway, I'm just making excuses now. Here goes…
(And like you said, @K-2, hopefully the fact I've failed so much while doing this means I've been pushing myself!)
