Thank you Erica for the most welcomed comments.  I am not totally satisfied with the consistencies.  The above example is no better than what i started with 2 months prior.  However, i feel the execution of my penmanship have become more confident.

Miles and miles to go before I lay to sleep.

@InkyFingers
Oh, there is definite improvement here. Your practice is paying off.
Regards the capitals, same principles apply. Master the oval. If you are not already practising whole arm movement for large capitals, I would recommend it.
The road may be long, but it's a great road to be on, is it not?

@AnasaziWrites Thank you for the compliment.

This road is endless as life is; It only ends when one chooses.  It is great to be living and more importantly among friends.  Every step one takes is counted.  Thanks for the encouragement.

Ovals are done always with whole arm movement.  @Rednaxela Encouraged me at first to stick to the arm movement.  Yes, it does pay off.

Yassssss!!!!!  I like this.  Simple, to the point.  Perhaps I shall requote this for a copperplate practice and in my journal no doubt!  :)

Apparently I have visited this thread earlier.  Needless to say my appreciation and understanding has grown a tad since I first visited.  And who KNEW, YOUUU, @InkyFingers  Ms. InkyFingers are skilled in Spencerian too!!!!!!!!

I can only imagine living in your skin for, ummm, how long would it take me to get to calligraphy competency?   ;D ;D

Seriously, I thought I wanted to learn Spencerian and was obsessing over it.  Thankfully, I found out my "need" is actually "Business Penmanship" which I have heard is simply unshaded Spencerian.  Who knew?  Now, I have one question:  I am a BEGINNER copperplate student.  How long do I have to wait before beginning to learn BP?  The thing is Copperplate is for fun; BP is for daily necessity.  I would hate to totally stop Copperplate lessons at this point; but, I guessssss six months is not a lot in the big picture of things.
Cheerfully,
Lyric

Good vibrations!  Get to it.

Both are based on ovals.  To me, English Rounhand is drawn, Spencerian is written.  You can learn both at the same time.

I distinguish the script by the use of different pens.  Kinda like Pavel's dog.  Pencil and Biro's use BP.  Pointed pen shaded penmanship (else there's no point eh!?).

Everyday writing IMHO are itialic and BP.
