SPAM ATTACK today

Hi Flourish Folks!

You may have seen we had a spam attack today. I usually check the forum several times per day however I have a shoulder injury and wasn't able to get on the computer for the past two days. Please, if you notice spam, or something that looks like it doesn't belong, please report it immediately. Thanks so much for all the watchful eyes!

I will be looking into further anti-spam action. It is ridiculous how much security is needed these days!

Yes it was full effect today. No need for Viagra for Calligraphy. Hope your shoulder gets better soon.

Thank you ... just spent three hours banning 128 new members from the past 48 hours. But somehow that banned member just posted. GRRRR!

I really don't understand what spammers hope to gain by putting spam on this site.  Clearly  it is spam.  No one is falling for it.  Hopefully if they have to write an essay, it will be too much work and they will move on.

I really hope no one is "dating" that lady looking for a serious man...

So that's why the questions are so dang hard! Spammers! Geeze, took me half an hour to figure out that you write italics with a ****  nib or somthing like that. and the book thing was a LITTLE specific. thank god for google

Being a newbie I don't know if this is the best place to put this or not...or starting a new lead...so sorry if it's not.

Just to let you know that unless logged in (which I probably should each time but somethings I'm lazy if I'm using my mobile), when I've tried to look at your contemporary/modern calligraphy samples I kept getting re-directed to a porn spam page.

Hi,
Thank you for letting me know. I think you are referring to the Contemporary/Modern Calligraphy post in Pointed Pen. I used to post images via postimage.org. Initially it was fine but lately, I've noticed they put some unsavory spam at the bottom of the images. So I am in the process of reposting those images directly without the image server.

If it is a different post, please let me know so I can investigate. Thank you!
