Washington Calligraphers Guild 40th Anniversary Meeting and Potluck Dinner this Saturday, June 4th at 7 pm.

Annual Meeting and Potluck: Saturday, June 4, 7 pm
Social Hall (door #7) of Concord-St. Andrews Church,
5910 Goldsboro Road at the intersection of River and Goldsboro Roads in Bethesda, MD

We will celebrate our 40th anniversary at our annual meeting and the return of our “Friends, Food, and Freebies” potluck dinner! Bring a dish, homemade or purchased, to add to our fare, but you are most welcome to come even if you are not able to bring anything. We will provide drinks as well as plenty of calligraphic freebies. Please let Louise Harris know what you’d like to bring at 301-596-7773 or email at [email protected].

We will also have tables out to share your work. It's always interesting and worthwhile to see what others are working on or have accomplished. All levels of abilities are appreciated and welcome!

The annual meeting is the time officers are elected, and we are urgently seeking volunteers to serve as President and Vice President. Our long-time President Pamn Klinedinst and VP Gretchen Elson are retiring for personal and health reasons, and they urge members to "step forward to take on these not-so-difficult and very satisfying jobs," as Pamn wrote in the April/May Bulletin. "Please know that the continuing good health of the Guild depends on members willing to assume leadership positions." Contact Derrick Tabor for more information at 301-706-1123 or [email protected].
