Hi All!
I'm all registered for IAMPETH and so excited to go! Any chance someone might want to share a room? What do people normally do? I still need to figure out lodging!!
So looking forward to meeting everyone and learning a TON:)

Hi! Can't wait to look at everyone's feeds:) I just love IG.
My personal account: @antiquariabailey
My business account: @antiquariadesign

They both have calligraphy. My personal account has plants and sewing projects as well. The business account is mostly stationery and calligraphy!

Hi Linda!

Yes...I recognize your name from Instagram. I bet Alis's class was great!! She's such a lovely person:)
Did I meet you at Letters? I commuted back and forth...

I think Marina Soria's workshop this summer is the first in Pasadena. I need to sent my $ in before it fills!!

You're so lucky to study with Yukimi! My friend (that I met at the conference), Kelly, studies with her also...do you guys know each other?

I definitely hope to see you somewhere soon!

Wow! Thank you Erica:)

Jake's class was indeed swoon-worthy. I had so much fun and he's an excellent teacher.

Happy to be here!

I know! We'll have to share with each other-haha
I took Jake Weidmann's Flourishing class…it was AWESOME. It's not something that I'd done a lot before but I'm hooked now. I'm sure that I'll catch Mr. Sull another time! I also had wanted to take Linda's class! Gosh! I've not been on top of my workshop-ing this year:)

I commuted to Letters so I didn't take any of the mini classes-but I heard that they were great as well.

Roseann! I'm SO jealous. I wanted to go to that…but didn't realize it was happening until the week before:( Although I did just do the Letters conference so it felt nice to have a quiet weekend at home.
How was it? I'm sure it was fantastic!

I was disappointed too-I came from Austin, TX which is a really active and tight guild. I love the SfC but its so hard to see people since everyone is so scattered. Board meetings are some of the only thing that I attend (besides Letters and some workshops). We should definitely carpool to the next thing. Are you going to San Diego for any more workshops in the newer future?

I am a member of SfC! In fact I'm on the board:)
We need to have more stuff in this area…right? I think that there is a new workshop space that will be in Pasadena. Yay!!

I have not worked from Molly's book but it looks really nice. I look forward to reading it.
My personal opinion about calligraphy that I try to share on our blog and in workshops is that it is very important to learn traditional calligraphy if you want to have a modern style. It wasn't until I really learned Copperplate that I could start doing more funky things with the pointed pen.

I'm so saddened to hear Lori M's experience because I do think that there is a lot of that going on right now--and Pinterest is definitely not helping things. But it is very exciting that there is so much interest in calligraphy!

Linda Y. I totally agree. Guilds are where it's at:)

Hi Roseann,
That's such a beautiful area! Are you a member of the Society for Calligraphy?
