When you have time ... haha! Great practice word!

Extravaganza

ex·trav·a·gan·za
noun
1. a musical or dramatic composition or production, as comic opera or musical comedy, marked by a loose structure, a frivolous theme, and elaborate costuming and staging.

2. any lavish or opulent show, event, assemblage, etc.: an extravaganza of new housewares on the twelfth floor.

I love both of these! Nicely done ladies! Such great style and wonderful interpretations of the word!

I'm trying to finish up the next tutorial (and I have a calligraphy client waiting) so mine will have to wait a bit!

Wonderful shares! Bravo!

I've been playing around with this from time to time, liked the word … so before it just dissapears in my drawer:

Oh, that's from Kallipos, "Kastanientinte – Kalligraphie-Tinte mit Glanz":

http://www.kallipos.de/tinte.htm

It's a bit Kitsch, but I bought them before Christmas for gift tags as an excuse :D!

These inks write very nicely, the downside is that they need to be shaken very often to get the metallic pigment really on the paper. I store these inks (I have several colours) in these plastic pipettes Barbara used at the workshop and close them with a toothpick, so I can shake them easily and load the nib directly from the pipette.

Thanks!
