I know everybody's super busy (including me!), but here's another word when you get the time.  :)

lagniappe (lan-yap)

1. chiefly southern Louisiana and southeast Texas. A small gift given with a purchase to a customer, by way of compliment or for good measure; bonus.
2. a gratuity or tip.
3. an unexpected or indirect benefit.
4. (and how we define it in New Orleans) - 'a little something extra.'

Linda Y.:
Great word Emily! I need to catch up on our WoD, hope to do so this weekend  :)

Here's mine, in some Christmas red...  :)

Just beautiful, Emily! Such an interesting word which I have never heard of before.

Thank you, Ellen! We love this word down there - my mom saw this and was so excited because she went to the donut place by her house this morning and ordered a breakfast sandwich... it ended up taking a while, so they gave her a hot fresh glazed donut. She said, 'I just got some lagniappe this morning!'  :)
