Searching for a specific nib
« on: October 06, 2017, 06:31:07 AM »
Hi folks,

I am looking for a source of the Brause 523 nib.  It's a three-tined nib.  I have one and I really quite like it for (fountain pen) ink testing and some braod edge calligraphy, but I cannot find any more.  Not looking for whole boxes or such, just 10-12 nibs.

If anyone has a lead on these and would like to share, please pm me.

cheers,

Dave

Perhaps @AAAndrew has some. He has the widest nib collection on the forum.

Unfortunately the European side of my collection is pretty weak. I only have a couple of Brause and not this one. I have the 5 (oblique stub), 312 (blue falcon), and 660X (long stub).

I just got a Brause 323 nib today. But it's not a broad nib, it's a very fine, very flexible pointed nib. The Massag equivalent which came with it is a 125EF. Both are quite nice for pointed. But if I see a 523, I'll let you know.
