Do you have another 303? The nib might be bad

I have tried all the remedies and still have the same problem with a Brause 'Rose" 76.  To the community, could it possibly be the nibs?  The tines on mine appear to be in good order.

I have the same problem with Brause Roses too. Every other nib will take ink and flow fine after the initial cleanup, but the Rose? Ugh! Stubborn little git. It's that final 1mm on the point that just won't take ink! I find that my few month old broken in Rose works a ton better than a new Rose!

This sounds similar to the problem with the Hiro 41.
Maybe the solution is similar, carburetor cleaner or pinesol (quick 1 sec dip then wash).

I actually did check the nib of the 303 and the tines seem slightly twisted (I'm not sure if it's a manufacturing fault or if I damaged it while trying to write) - I aligned them somewhat again and was able to write temporarily but it eventually snaps back into twisted mode .. I do have a couple more which look fine & I will be trying them in the future... Yesterday I decided to try a Leonardt Crown (41) and as I do with every different nib I try, said 'This is the one I love!' - I never expected such big differences between nibs.. I love that.... In general, I'm having MUCH less trouble now with flow, pressure, catching upstrokes... and enjoying every minute of it (and probably too much).
