Introductions / hello from waco, texas!

My name is Adair McGregor.
Currently, I am a Collections Manager at an art museum and have recently started taking calligraphy classes.
I've always loved art (I was an Art History major in college) lettering, and handwriting; and have always been enamored with calligraphy especially. I love the romance and feel that calligraphy evokes - namely pointed pen! I, like many of you, I think, yearn to create and this has been such a rewarding way to express myself.
I am a newcomer to calligraphy. This past Fall, I started taking calligraphy classes (short courses in pointed pen and pointed brush) to learning the basics and fundamentals. I practice on my own almost every night, but would love any extra help and guidance. I am very excited to have found such a wealth of knowledge and help in The Flourish Forum.
I am thinking of attending IAMPETH in July so any information about it would be lovely.
